When testing the open loop and phase, the user should choose an upper frequency limit that goes beyond the unity gain bandwidth of the amplifier. The capacitor is chosen to be large to provide roll off (f=1/2 πR1C2) so that even if the op amp tested has very low frequency dominant pole, the simulation shown a smooth transition and 20 dB per decade roll off.
